Temple By The Sea Tshirt

So I made this for a contest. We were supposed to make a parody of the "Manchester by the Sea" movie poster. Thus I had the idea to make a Steven Universe themed poster.

The idea behind this was to obviously make an emotional picture showing Rose and Greg since I'm thinking those final moments before Steven was born wasn't all rainbows and sunshine, if you know what I mean.

But not only did I focus on those two, I also drew everything you see in the background as well. I used many references to get it as close to the Steven Universe style as I could. Took me so long, you have no idea. I even drew the fusion temple in the background myself along with every stone and the outline of the sea and sand. Then the coloring is what took even longer because I wanted so badly to get the colors right.

See, the reason it took so long is because I didn't simply take an image of the temple to use. As far as I know, they don't have an image like this showing the temple from this angle back when Rose was alive. But from what I did see from references is that all that moss you see in the present day episodes isn't even there. There is very little moss on the temple actually back then. And obviously the house wasn't there either. So drawing the temple took a lot of time and references and I just worked so hard on it.
Too bad it didn't win.
